Skanda Purana — Mahesvara Khanda, Shloka 8

दैत्यानां कार्यसिद्ध्यर्थमवदानं प्रयच्छति । असौ पुरोहितोऽस्माकं परेषां च फलप्रदः

daityānāṃ kāryasiddhyarthamavadānaṃ prayacchati | asau purohito'smākaṃ pareṣāṃ ca phalapradaḥ

Pour le succès des entreprises des Daityas, il accorde des oblations et des parts rituelles. Ce prêtre qui est le nôtre dispense des résultats non seulement pour nous, mais même pour les autres.
