Skanda Purana — Mahesvara Khanda, Shloka 20

तिरोधान गतः सद्यः शंभुः परमशोभनः । प्रणम्य शंभुं ते सर्वे गणाध्यक्षार्च्चने रताः

tirodhāna gataḥ sadyaḥ śaṃbhuḥ paramaśobhanaḥ | praṇamya śaṃbhuṃ te sarve gaṇādhyakṣārccane ratāḥ

Aussitôt, Śambhu, d’un éclat suprême, disparut aux regards. Après s’être prosternés devant Śambhu, tous se vouèrent au culte du Seigneur des Gaṇas (Gaṇeśa).
