श्रृण्वंत्वमी विप्रतमा इदानीं वचो हि मे कर्तुमिहार्हथैतत् । रुद्रो ह्ययं यज्ञबाह्यो वृतो मे वर्णातीतो वर्णपरो यतश्च

śrṛṇvaṃtvamī vipratamā idānīṃ vaco hi me kartumihārhathaitat | rudro hyayaṃ yajñabāhyo vṛto me varṇātīto varṇaparo yataśca

Que ces éminents brahmanes écoutent maintenant mes paroles et fassent ce qui convient ici. Car ce Rudra a été tenu à l'écart du sacrifice par moi — il est au-delà des castes et aussi suprême sur les castes ; c'est pourquoi je l'ai exclu.
