सम्मानं सर्वथा तस्मादर्हः कौरवनंदनः । अपापो वा सपापो वा पूज्य एव पितामहः
sammānaṃ sarvathā tasmādarhaḥ kauravanaṃdanaḥ | apāpo vā sapāpo vā pūjya eva pitāmahaḥ
« C’est pourquoi, ô fils de la lignée des Kuru, il est en tout point digne d’honneur. Qu’il soit sans faute ou chargé de faute, un aïeul doit être vénéré de la même manière. »
