अस्वतंत्रं च पुत्रत्वं किं तु मां नात्र पीडयेत् । स्त्रियं हत्वा मातरं च को हि जातु सुखी भवेत्

asvataṃtraṃ ca putratvaṃ kiṃ tu māṃ nātra pīḍayet | striyaṃ hatvā mātaraṃ ca ko hi jātu sukhī bhavet

La condition de fils n'est pas totalement indépendante, mais que cela ne me tourmente pas en cette affaire. Car qui pourrait jamais être heureux après avoir tué une femme, et qui plus est, sa propre mère ?
