ततः पित्रा चिरं स्मृत्वा चिरं चाघ्राय मूर्धनि । चिरं दोर्भ्यां परिष्वज्य चिरंजीवेत्यु दाहृतः

tataḥ pitrā ciraṃ smṛtvā ciraṃ cāghrāya mūrdhani | ciraṃ dorbhyāṃ pariṣvajya ciraṃjīvetyu dāhṛtaḥ

Alors le père, l’ayant longtemps gardé en mémoire et longtemps respiré le parfum de son front, l’enlaça longuement de ses deux bras et dit : « Puisses-tu vivre longtemps ! »
