एतदर्थं च हैडंबे पुत्रानिच्छंति साधवः । इहामुत्र तारयंते तादृशाश्चापि पुत्रकाः

etadarthaṃ ca haiḍaṃbe putrānicchaṃti sādhavaḥ | ihāmutra tārayaṃte tādṛśāścāpi putrakāḥ

C’est pour cette raison même, ô Haiḍamba, que les vertueux désirent des fils : de tels fils deviennent des sauveurs, apportant la délivrance ici-bas comme dans l’au-delà.
