ब्रह्मणस्त्वं सुता देवी तुलानाम्नेति कथ्यते । तुकारो गौरवे नित्यं लकारो लघुनि स्मृतः
brahmaṇastvaṃ sutā devī tulānāmneti kathyate | tukāro gaurave nityaṃ lakāro laghuni smṛtaḥ
« Ô Déesse, tu es la fille de Brahmā ; on te nomme Tulā (la Balance). La syllabe “tu” est à jamais liée à la pesanteur (au poids), et la syllabe “lā” est mémorisée comme légèreté. »
