Sūta (Lomaharṣaṇa) addressing the sages (deduced)
Tirtha: Liṅga-kṣetra (as described in Kaumārikā-khaṇḍa, ch. 40 context)
Type: kshetra
Scene: A serene Śaiva shrine precinct: devotees approach the liṅga with flower garlands, fruits, and a naivedya tray; a singer recites stotra while lamps flicker; the atmosphere suggests ‘prārthanā-siddhi’ (prayers fulfilled).
In a sanctified Śiva-kṣetra, sincere prayer joined with devotion-filled worship becomes swiftly fruitful.
The immediate liṅga-kṣetra being described in this adhyāya (unnamed in the verse) is praised as a wish-fulfilling sacred spot.
Offer flowers, fruits, perform pūjā, present naivedya, and recite hymns (stavana) as devotional acts.
