Skanda Purana — Mahesvara Khanda, Shloka 167

तदा तेषु च देशेषु चतुर्वर्गस्य साधनम् । सर्वेषां प्रवरं प्रोक्तं कुमारीश्वरमेव च

tadā teṣu ca deśeṣu caturvargasya sādhanam | sarveṣāṃ pravaraṃ proktaṃ kumārīśvarameva ca

Alors, parmi ces contrées, fut enseigné le moyen d’accomplir les quatre buts de la vie (dharma, artha, kāma, mokṣa). Pourtant, le plus éminent de tous fut proclamé : Kumārīśvara seul.
