Transliteration

nāmne rodimi me sraṣṭurnāma dehi pitāmaha | rodanādrudra ityākhyāṃ samāyā ḍiṃbhako labhat

Translation

«Je pleure pour un nom—ô Créateur, ô Pitāmaha, accorde-moi un nom.» À cause de ces pleurs, l’enfant reçut l’appellation «Rudra».
