Transliteration

pāpāni pāpināṃ hatvā mahāṃtyapi bahūnyapi | kāśītīrthāni madhyāhne prāyaścittacikīrṣayā

Translation

Ayant anéanti les fautes des pécheurs—même nombreuses et immenses—les tīrtha de Kāśī sont approchés à midi par ceux qui désirent accomplir l’expiation (prāyaścitta).
