brāhmaṇāḥ kṣatriyā vaiśyāḥ śṛṇvaṃto'dhyāyamuttamam | pātakāni visṛjyeha gatiṃ yāsyaṃtyanuttamām

Sincere listening to the sacred Kāśī narrative purifies even grave faults and elevates one toward the highest end.
