धिक्तांश्च पुत्रान्यन्माता तेषु जीवत्सु दुःखभाक् । वरं वंध्यैव सा यस्याः सुता वंध्यमनोरथाः

dhiktāṃśca putrānyanmātā teṣu jīvatsu duḥkhabhāk | varaṃ vaṃdhyaiva sā yasyāḥ sutā vaṃdhyamanorathāḥ

«Honte à ces fils, si leur mère souffre alors qu’ils vivent encore ! Mieux vaudrait qu’elle fût sans enfant, celle dont les fils ont des desseins stériles et n’apportent aucun accomplissement.»
