यदि देयो वरो मह्यं वरयोग्योस्म्यहं यदि । तदा वाराणसी प्राप्तिः पुनरस्त्वेष मे वरः
yadi deyo varo mahyaṃ varayogyosmyahaṃ yadi | tadā vārāṇasī prāptiḥ punarastveṣa me varaḥ
«Si une grâce doit m’être accordée—si je suis digne d’une grâce—alors que ceci soit ma grâce : puissé-je atteindre de nouveau Vārāṇasī.»
