Skanda
Tirtha: Lolārka
Type: kund
Listener: Purāṇic audience (ṛṣis/śaunaka-traditional setting)
Scene: A devotee listens to the proclamation of Lolārka’s glory near a sunlit pond in Kāśī; the ‘ocean of saṃsāra’ is symbolized behind as dark waves, while the tīrtha radiates calm light.
Śravaṇa of tīrtha-māhātmya is transformative; hearing with faith is presented as a remedy to saṃsāric sorrow.
Lolārka tīrtha in Kāśī.
Hearing (śravaṇa) the māhātmya itself is the stated practice and its fruit is freedom from sorrow.
