सहस्रकृत्वो गायत्र्याः शतकृत्वोथवा पुनः । दशकृत्वोथ देव्यैव कुर्यात्सौरीमुपस्थितिम्
sahasrakṛtvo gāyatryāḥ śatakṛtvothavā punaḥ | daśakṛtvotha devyaiva kuryātsaurīmupasthitim
Après avoir répété la Gāyatrī mille fois—ou cent fois, ou encore dix fois—qu’on accomplisse l’upasthiti, la présence dévotionnelle envers Sūrya, la Déesse (Gāyatrī) elle-même en étant le moyen.
