Skanda Purana — Kashi Khanda, Shloka 17

छत्राच्छादनिकाद्यर्थे वर्षाकालोचितैर्बहु । रात्रौ पाठप्रदीपैश्च पादाभ्यंजनकादिभिः

chatrācchādanikādyarthe varṣākālocitairbahu | rātrau pāṭhapradīpaiśca pādābhyaṃjanakādibhiḥ

En offrant maints objets convenant à la saison des pluies—parapluies, couvertures et autres—et, la nuit, en procurant des lampes pour la lecture, avec des onguents pour les pieds et des soins semblables—on rend à Kāśī un service plein d’égards pour le culte et l’étude.
