व्योमांगणमनर्कं च नक्तेऽदीपं यथा गृहम । अवेदा ब्राह्मणा यद्वद्गंगाहीनास्तथा दिशः
vyomāṃgaṇamanarkaṃ ca nakte'dīpaṃ yathā gṛhama | avedā brāhmaṇā yadvadgaṃgāhīnāstathā diśaḥ
Comme le ciel est morne sans le soleil, comme une maison la nuit est vaine sans lampe, et comme des brāhmaṇas sans le Veda perdent leur vraie stature, ainsi les directions sont appauvries lorsqu’elles sont privées de la Gaṅgā.
