Transliteration

brahmalokastu lokānāṃ sarveṣāmuttamo yathā | saritāṃ sarasāṃ vāpi variṣṭhā jāhnavī tathā

Translation

De même que Brahmaloka est le plus élevé de tous les mondes, de même Jāhnavī (la Gaṅgā) est la plus éminente parmi les rivières, et même parmi les lacs.
