Skanda Purana — Kashi Khanda, Shloka 100

कीर्तनाद्दर्शनात्स्पर्शाद्गंगापानावगाहनात् । दशोत्तरगुणा ज्ञेया पुण्यापुण्यर्द्धिनाशयोः

kīrtanāddarśanātsparśādgaṃgāpānāvagāhanāt | daśottaraguṇā jñeyā puṇyāpuṇyarddhināśayoḥ

Par la louange, par la vision, par le contact, et par le fait de boire et de s’immerger dans la Gaṅgā, sache que l’accroissement du mérite et l’anéantissement du démérite deviennent dix fois et davantage grâce à ces actes.
