इदं स्तोत्रवरं यस्तु पठिष्यति समाहितः । त्रिसंध्यं मनुजस्तस्य पापं यास्यति संक्षयम्
idaṃ stotravaraṃ yastu paṭhiṣyati samāhitaḥ | trisaṃdhyaṃ manujastasya pāpaṃ yāsyati saṃkṣayam
Quiconque, l’esprit recueilli, récite cet hymne excellent aux trois sandhyā (à l’aube, à midi et au crépuscule), verra ses péchés décroître peu à peu jusqu’à s’éteindre.
Skanda
Tirtha: Kāśī (Avimukta-kṣetra)
Type: kshetra
Scene: A devotee seated on a riverbank at the three sandhyās—sun low on horizon—hands in añjali, rosary and palm-leaf hymn, with Kāśī’s ghāṭas and a distant śikhara of Viśvanātha; the atmosphere suggests inner stillness and the washing away of sin.
Steady, disciplined recitation with mental focus purifies accumulated sin.
The teaching is situated in the Kāśīkhaṇḍa (Kāśī/Varanasi) context, where devotional practice is praised as especially fruitful.
Recite the hymn at the three sandhyā times (morning, midday, evening) with a composed mind.
