त्वदेकपुत्रां हापुत्रकोऽत्र मां त्रायते पुरा । त्वदृते त्वद्गुणोर्म्याढ्ये पतितां शोकसागरे
tvadekaputrāṃ hāputrako'tra māṃ trāyate purā | tvadṛte tvadguṇormyāḍhye patitāṃ śokasāgare
«Hélas, mon fils ! Qui me protégera ici, moi qui n’ai que toi pour unique enfant ? Sans toi, ô toi riche des vagues de vertus, je suis tombée dans un océan de chagrin.»
