Type: kshetra
Listener: ṛṣis
Scene: Rambhā at the water’s edge: her stone form dissolves into radiant apsaras beauty as she emerges from the bath; a vertical composition shows her ascending toward the heavens with divine light above the sea.
Sacred bathing at a tīrtha is portrayed as transformative—restoring dignity and freeing one from affliction—while the tīrtha’s glory is beyond ordinary speech.
Kapitīrtha, whose snāna is credited with restoring Rambhā and enabling ascent to heaven.
Snāna (ritual bathing) at the tīrtha.
