Type: kshetra
Scene: A devotee bathes at Setu as the sun rises; Śiva’s satisfaction is portrayed as a radiant blessing; the ocean and sun together embody ‘tejas’.
A single sincere act at a powerful tīrtha—Setu-snānā—can awaken immense divine favor, surpassing ordinary merit.
Setubandha (Rāma Setu) as a tīrtha where bathing itself is proclaimed exceptionally pleasing to Śiva.
Setu-majjana (bathing/immersion at the Setu) is explicitly praised as a highly efficacious rite.
