Skanda Purana — Brahma Khanda, Shloka 110

अंगुल्यग्रेण वै दैवमार्षमंगुलिमूलगम् । ब्राह्ममंगुष्ठमूले तु पाणिमध्ये प्रजापतेः

aṃgulyagreṇa vai daivamārṣamaṃgulimūlagam | brāhmamaṃguṣṭhamūle tu pāṇimadhye prajāpateḥ

L’offrande « divine » se fait avec le bout des doigts ; l’offrande « des ṛṣi » à la base des doigts ; l’offrande « de Brahmā » à la base du pouce ; et l’offrande « de Prajāpati » au milieu de la paume.
