अनेनैव त्रिशूलेन खट्वांगेनाथवा पुनः । अथ पाशुपतेनैव निहनिष्यामि तं रणे । शीघ्रं वै वदतास्माक मत्रागमनकारणम्
anenaiva triśūlena khaṭvāṃgenāthavā punaḥ | atha pāśupatenaiva nihaniṣyāmi taṃ raṇe | śīghraṃ vai vadatāsmāka matrāgamanakāraṇam
«Avec ce même trident—ou bien avec le khaṭvāṅga—ou encore avec l’arme Pāśupata elle-même, je l’abattrai au combat. Dites-moi vite, en vérité, la cause de votre venue ici.»
