एकादशसमा ये च बहिर्ग्रामे वसंति ते । एवं भेदाः समभवन्नाना मोढद्विजन्मनाम् । युगानुसारात्कालेन ज्ञातीनां च वृषस्य वा

ekādaśasamā ye ca bahirgrāme vasaṃti te | evaṃ bhedāḥ samabhavannānā moḍhadvijanmanām | yugānusārātkālena jñātīnāṃ ca vṛṣasya vā

Ceux qui demeurent hors du village pendant onze années : ainsi, de cette manière, naquirent de nombreuses divisions parmi les Moḍha, les deux-fois-nés. Avec le cours du temps, selon la succession des yuga, des distinctions apparurent aussi entre les parents, et même quant aux lignées ou souches de descendance (vṛṣa).
