Vyāsa (contextual narration; explicit speaker appears at Śloka 51)
Tirtha: Dharmāraṇya
Type: kshetra
Scene: A dramatic salvation tableau: the syllables ‘Rā-ma’ appear as radiant light; shadowy figures of Yama’s realm withdraw; the devotee stands uplifted toward a luminous path symbolizing śāśvatī gati.
The Purāṇic doctrine of nāma-mahimā: sincere utterance of the divine name purifies and leads toward liberation.
The teaching is embedded in Dharmāraṇya-khaṇḍa, where the region’s holiness supports and amplifies such salvific practices.
Recitation of the name “Rāma” as a liberating practice (japa/smaraṇa) with salvific fruit.
