वन्ध्या च दुर्भगा नारी काकवन्ध्या मृतप्रजा । मृतवत्सा महादुष्टा स्नात्वा कुण्डे शिवाग्रतः । पूजयेदेकचित्तेन स्नानमात्रेण शुद्ध्यति
vandhyā ca durbhagā nārī kākavandhyā mṛtaprajā | mṛtavatsā mahāduṣṭā snātvā kuṇḍe śivāgrataḥ | pūjayedekacittena snānamātreṇa śuddhyati
Même une femme stérile, une infortunée, celle qu’on nomme «kāka-vandhyā», celle dont les enfants sont morts, celle dont le nourrisson est mort, même la très pécheresse—après s’être baignée dans le kuṇḍa devant Śiva, qu’elle vénère d’un esprit unifié; par le seul bain elle est purifiée.
