तदा दृष्टो महाविष्णुर्ध्यानस्थोऽसौ जनार्दनः । ध्यात्वा कृत्यसमाकारं सशरं दैत्यसूदनम्

tadā dṛṣṭo mahāviṣṇurdhyānastho'sau janārdanaḥ | dhyātvā kṛtyasamākāraṃ saśaraṃ daityasūdanam

Alors ils virent Mahāviṣṇu—Janārdana—assis en profonde méditation; ayant, en son for intérieur, contemplé la forme requise pour l’œuvre : le pourfendeur des démons, armé de flèches.
