ऋग्वेदमष्टमे वर्षे नवमे यजुषां गणम् । दशमे सामवेदं च लीलयाध्यगमत्सुधीः
ṛgvedamaṣṭame varṣe navame yajuṣāṃ gaṇam | daśame sāmavedaṃ ca līlayādhyagamatsudhīḥ
À sa huitième année, il maîtrisa le Ṛgveda ; à la neuvième, les recueils du Yajurveda ; et à la dixième, le Sāmaveda : sans peine, comme en jouant, ce sage les apprit.
