Type: kshetra
Listener: Yudhiṣṭhira
Scene: Mārkaṇḍeya ṛṣi, serene and radiant, blesses Yudhiṣṭhira with words of approval; the king’s posture is attentive, embodying dharma and reverence for tīrtha-yātrā.
True dharma harmonizes svadharma (one’s duties) with श्रद्धा for tīrtha-yātrā and respect for the virtuous.
Indirectly, the upcoming Vyāsa-tīrtha narrative; this verse prepares the listener through praise of pilgrimage-mindedness.
No specific rite; it commends tīrtha-yātrā as a dharmic orientation.
