उवाच मधुरां वाणीं मेघगम्भीरनिस्वनाम् । किमर्थं बोधितो ब्रह्मन् समर्थैर्वः सुरासुरैः

uvāca madhurāṃ vāṇīṃ meghagambhīranisvanām | kimarthaṃ bodhito brahman samarthairvaḥ surāsuraiḥ

Il parla d’une voix douce, au grondement profond tel le tonnerre des nuées : «Ô Brahman, dans quel dessein m’avez-vous éveillé, vous tous—devas et asuras—bien que puissants ?»
