Type: kshetra
Listener: Yudhiṣṭhira and/or general audience of the kathā
Scene: A sage recites the tīrtha-ākhyāna to attentive listeners seated in a mandapa; a sick listener is shown recovering, while healthy listeners radiate calm contentment.
Śravaṇa (devout listening) to tīrtha-māhātmya is itself a transformative practice that yields both spiritual and worldly well-being.
The verse praises the merit of the Revā Khaṇḍa tīrtha narrative as a whole—centered on the Narmadā region and its sanctified sites.
Listen (śṛṇoti) with self-control to the tīrtha account; this is presented as a meritorious observance with tangible results.
