«Après t’y être baigné, le grand péché s’en ira par mon ordre.» Alors Hanumān, bondissant avec vitesse, atteignit l’auspicieuse rive méridionale de la Revā.
Īśvara (Śiva) for the first line; Narrator for Hanumān’s action (second line)
Tirtha: Śrī-Revā (Narmadā) south-bank tīrtha (Somnātha-samīpa)
Type: ghat
Scene: Hanumān launches in a powerful leap, wind-swept and radiant, then lands at the auspicious southern bank where the river gleams; the sense is of immediate karmic relief approaching.
Tīrtha practice becomes effective through faith and divine sanction; snāna at the appointed place is said to dissolve even great sin.
The southern bank of Revā (Narmadā), at the tīrtha indicated by Śiva near Somanātha.
Snāna (ritual bathing) at the specified Revā/Narmadā tīrtha for removal of mahāpāpa.
