कन्योवाच । इच्छेयं यत्र काले हि तत्र देया त्वया पितुः । पुत्रीवाक्यादसौ राजा विस्मितो वाक्यमब्रवीत्

kanyovāca | iccheyaṃ yatra kāle hi tatra deyā tvayā pituḥ | putrīvākyādasau rājā vismito vākyamabravīt

La jeune fille dit : « Père, tu dois me donner (en mariage) au moment que je choisirai. » Entendant les paroles de sa fille, le roi, étonné, lui répondit.
