Transliteration

śaratkāle'ramadrājā bahule cāśvinasya saḥ | vanamadhyaṃ gato'drākṣīdbhramantaṃ piṅgaladvijam

Translation

À la saison d’automne, lors de la pleine lune d’Āśvina, le roi se divertissait ; pénétrant au cœur de la forêt, il aperçut un brāhmane au teint fauve errant çà et là.
