Type: kshetra
Listener: King (nṛpa)
Scene: A king listens as a sage extols Mātṛtīrtha’s unmatched greatness; the riverbank glows; pilgrims meditate with saṅkalpa; a subtle aura suggests wish-fulfillment.
The Purāṇic teaching exalts tīrtha as a concentrated field of grace where sincere intention and devotion ripen into attainment.
Mātṛtīrtha, declared unsurpassed among sacred fords in this passage.
No new rite is introduced here; it culminates the section with a phalaśruti proclaiming the tīrtha’s supreme efficacy for desired aims.
