तिथिरद्यैव का प्रोक्ता किं पर्व कथयस्व मे । किमयं स्नाति लोकोऽयं किं वा स्नानस्य कारणम्
tithiradyaiva kā proktā kiṃ parva kathayasva me | kimayaṃ snāti loko'yaṃ kiṃ vā snānasya kāraṇam
«Quel tithi a-t-on proclamé pour aujourd’hui ? Quelle fête sacrée est-ce—dis-le-moi. Pourquoi ces gens se baignent-ils, et quelle est la raison de ce bain ?»

Sacred actions become fruitful when aligned with sacred time and understood intention (bhāva).
The Revā tīrtha-region is the implied setting where communal snāna is taking place.
Snāna is the highlighted act, to be performed with awareness of the day’s tithi/parva.
