dhānyadaḥ śāśvataṃ saukhyaṃ brahmado brahma śāśvatam | vāryannapṛthivīvāsastilakāñcanasarpiṣām
Celui qui donne des grains obtient un bonheur durable ; celui qui donne la connaissance sacrée atteint le Brahman éternel. De même sont méritoires les dons d’eau, de nourriture, de terre, de demeure, de sésame, d’or et de ghee.
