तल्लब्ध्वा मदमात्सर्यं यो वै त्यजति मानवः । संनियम्य सदात्मानं ज्ञानचक्षुर्नरो हि सः

tallabdhvā madamātsaryaṃ yo vai tyajati mānavaḥ | saṃniyamya sadātmānaṃ jñānacakṣurnaro hi saḥ

Ayant obtenu cette rare naissance humaine, celui qui rejette vraiment l’orgueil et l’envie, maîtrise sans cesse le soi et demeure dans la discipline intérieure—celui-là est, en vérité, un homme pourvu de l’œil de la sagesse.
