युधिष्ठिर उवाच । एतच्छ्रुत्वा तु मे तात परं कौतूहलं हृदि । जातं तत्कथयस्वेति शृण्वतः सह बान्धवैः

yudhiṣṭhira uvāca | etacchrutvā tu me tāta paraṃ kautūhalaṃ hṛdi | jātaṃ tatkathayasveti śṛṇvataḥ saha bāndhavaiḥ

Yudhiṣṭhira dit : En entendant cela, ô vénérable seigneur, une grande curiosité s’est levée dans mon cœur. Raconte donc cette histoire, tandis que nous écoutons avec mes proches.
