Type: ghat
Scene: The yakṣa performs ritual bathing, then offers water oblations to pitṛs on the riverbank; afterward he salutes the tīrtha and departs, serene and fulfilled.
A tīrtha-visit becomes complete when it includes disciplined snāna and gratitude toward the ancestors through tarpaṇa.
The adhyāya’s focal site is the Kāverī-saṅgama tīrtha.
Snāna ‘vidhānena’ (by rule) and pitṛ-tarpaṇa (satisfying the Pitṛs), followed by formally taking leave of the tīrtha.
