न पुत्रबान्धवा दारा न समस्तः सुहृज्जनः । सङ्कटेऽभ्युपगच्छन्ति व्रजन्तमेकगामिनम्

na putrabāndhavā dārā na samastaḥ suhṛjjanaḥ | saṅkaṭe'bhyupagacchanti vrajantamekagāminam

Ni les fils, ni les parents, ni l’épouse, ni même tout le cercle des amis ne viennent au secours dans l’épreuve : quand l’être s’en va, il chemine seul sur l’unique voie (de la mort).
