नारीणां तु सदा कामो ह्यधिकः परिवर्तते । विशेषेण ऋतोः काले भिद्यते कामसायकैः

nārīṇāṃ tu sadā kāmo hyadhikaḥ parivartate | viśeṣeṇa ṛtoḥ kāle bhidyate kāmasāyakaiḥ

Chez les femmes, dit-on, le désir est toujours plus fort et revient sans cesse; et surtout au temps de la fécondité, il s’éveille, comme transpercé par les flèches de l’amour.
