मासे मासे सिते पक्षेऽमावास्यायां युधिष्ठिर । स्नात्वा तत्र विधानेन तर्पयेत्पितृदेवताः

māse māse site pakṣe'māvāsyāyāṃ yudhiṣṭhira | snātvā tatra vidhānena tarpayetpitṛdevatāḥ

Mois après mois, au jour d’amāvāsyā de la quinzaine claire, ô Yudhiṣṭhira, après s’y être baigné selon la règle, qu’on offre le tarpaṇa aux Pitṛs et aux divinités.
