ब्राह्मणाय प्रतिश्रुत्य यो दानं न प्रयच्छति । आहूय नास्ति यो ब्रूते तस्य वासस्तु संततम्
brāhmaṇāya pratiśrutya yo dānaṃ na prayacchati | āhūya nāsti yo brūte tasya vāsastu saṃtatam
Celui qui, après avoir promis une dāna à un brāhmaṇa, ne la donne pas, et celui qui, après avoir appelé quelqu’un, dit : « il n’y a rien (pour toi) »—pour lui, la demeure dans le châtiment est sans fin.
