Narrator (contextual)
Tirtha: Maheśvara-tīrtha on Revā (prasiddha in lokatraya)
Type: ghat
Scene: The hunter completes ritual worship of the established Maheśvara and ascends to heaven; the tīrtha is shown as a thriving sacred ford with pilgrims and lamps.
Ritual worship performed with sincerity and proper observance yields divine merit and elevates the devotee.
The same tīrtha connected with Maheśvara—later identified as Tāpeśvara tīrtha in this adhyāya.
Worship “according to rite” (vidhānena pūjā), implying standard Śaiva pūjā observance at the tīrtha.
