Quiconque se rend à Candrahāsa et, lors d’une éclipse de la Lune ou du Soleil, accomplit le bain avec dévotion, est délivré de toutes les fautes.
Sūta (Lomaharṣaṇa) (deduced for Āvantya Khaṇḍa narrative style)
Tirtha: Candrahāsa
Type: tirtha
Scene: Eclipse over a river/ghat at Candrahāsa; devotees bathe with folded hands while the darkened sun/moon hangs in the sky; priests chant and lamps flicker in twilight-like light.
Sacred time (eclipse) joined with sacred place (tīrtha) and devotion intensifies purification.
Candrahāsa tīrtha, especially efficacious during candra/sūrya grahaṇa.
Grahaṇa-snāna—devotional bathing at Candrahāsa during a lunar or solar eclipse.
